Burckhardt Compression to deliver gas compressor systems to Canadian refinery complex
Burckhardt Compression has received an order for three process gas compressor systems ranging from 362 psia (25 bara) to 2276 psia (157 bara), with rated motor power from 456 hp (340 kW) to 4694 hp (3500 kW). The compressor systems will be delivered in the third quarter of 2015 to increase capacity at a Canadian refinery complex.
The process gas compressors are manufactured according to API 618 5th edition. The product line covers duties requiring a maximum rod load up to 335,000 lb. (151,953 kg) and power up to 41,572 hp (31,000 kW).
Burckhardt Compression handles reciprocating compressors and specializes in a complete range of reciprocating compressor technologies. They are experienced in compressor applications with discharge pressures up to 50,760 psi (3,500 bar) as well as for applications handling gases with suction temperatures down to -274°F (-170°C).
