Gas compression association recognizes leaders

John Dutton (JW Power Company) was elected chairman of the Gas Compressor Association (GCA) for 2017 at the organization's annual fall meeting and awards banquet in San Antonio, Texas in October.
Joe Avila (JW Power Company) received the GCA’s Special Recognition Award, honoring his outstanding work with the Health & Safety Committee. As GCA’s newest committee, it collects and reports safety data from member companies to GCA members.
“It is important for each industry to have a credible organization that represents it," said current Chairman, Anthony Speer. "The Gas Compressor Association is the only group that represents compressor packaging and compressor rental, lease and service companies. Our industry benefits from an association that brings members with shared interests together that can speak on behalf of the industry as challenging government regulatory issues emerge.”
