Court Issues Final Judgment Upholding Atlas Copco’s Intellectual Property Rights

Recently, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court issued a final judgment in case No. (2024) Hu 73 Min Zhong 1210, a trademark infringement and unfair competition dispute involving Atlas Copco.
The court ruled that three enterprises had committed trademark infringement. They were ordered to immediately cease all infringing acts and jointly compensate Atlas Copco a total of RMB 3,646,180 for economic losses and reasonable expenses.

Separately, in Changsha, law enforcement authorities seized counterfeit filter elements bearing Atlas Copco's registered trademark. After professional on-site verification, the products were confirmed as counterfeit due to clear discrepancies in appearance, weight, printing, materials and internal components compared with genuine parts.
These rulings demonstrate strong judicial protection of intellectual property rights, help customers distinguish genuine products from counterfeits, reduce procurement risks, and promote a fair, standardized and healthy competitive environment in the compressor industry.
